Senior Java Developer

Our OAS system  

OAS (Object and Structure tool) is a custom-made metadata-driven central platform for Scania’s Product Data Management (PDM) that supports Scania’s modularity principle. With 4500+ users and 50+ systems using OAS today, many business areas within Scania are constantly requesting enhancements, providing many different in-depth technical challenges to be solved!

You will be challenged by handling the complexity that comes with Scania’s 1400 number of variants of its products. Tuning the performance and memory consumption to able to deliver more powerful analysis. Solve complex business requirements like where to drill the holes on the frame or how to arrange the buttons in the driver area or optimizing the placement of fuel tanks.  

Who are you? 

We are seeking Senior Java Developers in the areas of Backend and Integration with these qualifications and experiences:  

• Solidjava coding experience 
• Generic code design
• Software architecture 
• Design patterns
• Test driven development

Meritorious is Kafka, REST, Spring, Oracle coherence, GraphDB, RDF, OSLC, Open sources 

Besides the technical profile you have a university degree or equivalent work experience. You are also fluent in English and if you don´t know Swedish, you have an interest and eager to learn it.  

You have an analytical and solution-oriented mindset which allows you to solve problems quickly without losing sight on the long-term strategies. You always strive to achieving goals by working hard and have the ability to cooperate with others to reach them.
