Lead IT Architect

Responsibilities:

• Quickly consume and understand complex IT landscapes to find hot spots, improvements, strategic steps moving the area towards a modern target state
• Understands new technology, languages or development practices that have benefits for implementing
• Work with innovation through PoCs, ideation and technical spikes, hands-on
• Interact and work with development teams to get the community in the same direction together with other architects and tech leads
• Ensures SOLID principles and standard design patterns are applied to system architectures and implementations
• Work with product management, business stakeholders and application architects to understand software requirements and helps estimate epics, features and stories when needed

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years’ experience of architecture and programming enterprise products
• Experience from one or several of Volvos core processes such as DVP, MAS, PRD, DCL
• Extensive knowledge of general engineering concepts like design patterns, OO programming and SOLID principles, UML, HTTP, MVC, APIs, data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge and significant experience with development technologies like C#, C++, JavaScript, SQL
• Great understanding and experience of test automation, mocking, monitoring, load testing towards APIs and backends
• Extensive experience and knowledge the architectural styles such as MSA, SOA, REST, Layered Architecture, Monolithic Architecture
• Relational DB - Db2, SQL, JDBC
• RESTful services – OpenAPI, Swagger
• Java - Spring, Hibernate,VertX, JPA
• Relevant university degree
