Job Description

After an intense and exciting spring full of customer meetings, web development, journalist apraisals and a lot more – Workaround is moving from BETA to commercial platform and needs to strengthen its tech team with one or two devoted and highly skilled front-end developers. As we are moving to our next phase a lot of code and functions needs to be thought-through, designed and implemented in order to create the kick-ass customer experience our clients expects. We also need to enhance the current functionality of the site in order to e.g. optimize speed and site maintenance costs and improve security.

We are looking for experienced talents who are eager to take on challenges in a very fast moving and entrepreneurial environment. You are probably not just the average Joe – neither personality-wise nor code-wise.

For the right candidate(s) a package of salary and stock-options (based on performance and devotion) will be available.

Skills & Requirements

• 4-6 years professional experience
• Solid JavaScript/jQuery, HTML(5) and SCSS/CSS skills
• Comfortable with taking active part in site and business development
• Experiencefrom writing code in one or multiple frameworks e.g. Angular/Ember/React/Backbone/
• Strong OOP skills, strive to write clean and maintainable code
• Knows excellent UX and are able to create complex components that combines complex code with flawless user experience
• Understands security risks
• Keen eye for design
• Experieced from Agile teams (using tools similar to GIT and JIRA)
• Experience from Working with task runner/build process e.g. Gulp
• Sense of humour and egoless ownership of projects

Nice-to-haves:

• Understanding of SPA solutions
• Experience in JavaScript libraries like Underscore/Lodash/Reactive
• Active Github account/open source contributions
• Understanding of SEO best practices
• Experience with:
