Software Engineer/ Technical Integrations Engineer

Currently, we are looking to expand our Technical Integration Engineering team with a curious and driven Software Engineer/ Technical Integrations Engineer.

In this role you will be deep into the digital communications domain, continuously developing and integrating new code in our backend to continuously and efficiently communicate with the rapidly growing number of wind and solar sites connected to our platform. The scope of the Technical Integration Engineering team span from where the customer makes data available, to storing the transported and processed data in our own databases. We also provide tooling to make creating and tweaking integrations a smooth experience.

In the team, we have an open and friendly atmosphere where you quickly learn and take responsibility, always with support from the rest of the team. We strive for a well-designed, fault-tolerant, and self-healing system where data can flow efficiently.

What you will be doing:

Develop code (mainly C# / .NET) to support new communication protocols and optimize the performance, both as standalone apps, but also utilizing cloud services such as AWS.

Continuously evolve existing applications with new functionality and bug fixing.
Learn and master the technical details and quirks of a wide variety of digital communication protocols related to Internet communication and renewable energy.

As a team, we build support for monitoring, but also more hands-on fault tracing and running of our production environment.

To thrive in this role, we think you have the following skills and requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of software development experience, preferably with parallelized, scalable, and high throughput applications
- Experience in cloud services, server management, and modern cloud architecture
- A curious mindset and a desire to constantly learn new things
- Prestige-less and flexible. Enjoy challenges!
- Analytical skills with the ability to find solutions for operational problems
- Enjoy a constantly changing environment where not everything is given and filling out the details as we go is both necessary and encouraged

Extra pluses (preferred but not required):

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience in industrial communication protocols such as OPC DA/XML/UA, DNP3, Modbus, and the IEC61400-25 standard
- Interest and/or experience within the renewable energy sector
- Experience in Continuous Integration and DevOps-related tasks
- Experience in software security and best practices
