QA Engineer to SVT Play

THE TEAM
SVT Play Mobile team is now looking for a QA engineer. It is a cross functional team with a strong belief in diversity of perspectives and that prioritization is a team effort. We are guided by common goals, have a hypothesis driven approach, are informed but not governed by data and collaborate throughout the whole design process.
We like to call ourselves “the Taco team”. The taco is handheld just like the products we make and the experience we create. Also, the taco is filled with amazing ingredients unique in form, texture and colour, each adding a special flavour to the whole.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a QA engineer in the mobile team you will continuously test the new development but also drive the QA-process within both the team and in SVT Play. We offer great possibilities to follow your own initiatives, ideas and to work together with other QA engineers in the other teams. You will be responsible for, and lead the testing and you will also make sure our testing is up to standards in terms of quality and make sure it is developed accordingly.
The team has both manual and automated tests today. Our ambition is to increase the number of automated tests. This means experience in this field is very much appreciated, as well as a way for you to grow in your role.

ABOUT YOU
So what about you then? The most important thing is of course that you are curious and ambitious, and value cooperation and creativity. You like to work in a team with an agile and experimental mindset and have a hunger to evolve, learn and share. You have a constructive communication style and an inclusive manner. We also think you are structured and systematic and have an eye for these hard to find corner cases.
A QA role at SVT Play also includes knowledge of UX and design as well as accessibility. So that would be very helpful for us if you can bring that to the table.
On the more technical side we assume you have experience in some test suite-tools like TestRail, TFS or other case management tool to write cases. You are comfortable with testing and debugging on mobile OS’s such as Android and iOS. And again a plus if you have worked with automation libraries such as Espresso or Kaspresso.
If you have experience of working with other media- or streaming apps before that is of course fantastic - but let’s keep it optional.
