Kollmorgen is a global company which develops key technology for AGVs and AMRs. We work with customers in many different industries all over the world.
We are offering summer internship for 6-8 weeks, location Sweden. You will work together with one of our development teams. For us it is important that your task is relevant for your education, that you will learn new things, develop yourself and of course we want you to have fun.
Brief description about the Vehicle team:
You will be part of our Vehicle team which develops robot controlling software and its features for our customers. A collaborative environment, high on energy and humor, where you feel supported.
Task:
We are building a new Web application for our Vehicle Controller product. This Web application will be used by customers for configuration and diagnostics of a truck. Your task will be to work together with the team in developing this new product mainly focused on front end, but the job might also include developing back end and automated testing.
The front end application is built with React and Typescript. The web app is served on our Vehicle Controller unit, which is running software on an embedded Linux based system. Back-end and testing is mostly done with Python.
What educations are applicable?
- We are looking for bachelor students who are in their second year (BSc) & master students (MSc) who studies year 3 or 4
- You are studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
You must also be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Meritorious skills:
- Version control (git)
- Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML or CSS
- Linux
- Back-end Rest APIs
- Test frameworks, Pytest, Selenium or Jest
- Speak and understand Swedish

Summer internship during pandemic times:
Since March 2020 we have been working remote, until we have new recommendations from the Swedish government we will continue to work from home. We are happy that we can offer summer internships and from last years experience we are confident that we can still offer a good experience!
When we can go back to the "new normal" our office is located near Sisjön, during our lunches you will have the opportunity to go for a run or a swim in the summer. We have flexible working hours and we also have a gym located in the building, all employees have access and on Mondays we have a common gym-workout.
Every student who has been up late to study for an exam know how important coffee is ☕, we offer you good fair trade coffee with fresh milk! If you don´t like coffee we have tea and always fresh fruit if you get hungry.
