Junior Product Designer

We are looking for a Junior Product Designer to join our team on our ambitious and exciting journey to digitize and shape the future of financing global trade.

As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for delivering the best user experience and user interface. You will ensure that all elements of the user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness and exceptional visual design, which makes your role extremely important given that user satisfaction and loyalty are two important contributors to achieving our growth targets. You will be designing ideas using various methods and latest technology, as well as combine creativity with awareness of existing design elements.

To be successful in this role you must first and foremost have a passion for designing products that users love to use and that ease users’ daily work life. You rapidly understand complex concepts and workflows and can turn them into easy to understand visuals. You are an enthusiastic team player that is curious, flexible and open minded. You do not need to be right (all the time) and you always focus on finding the optimal solution to sometimes conflicting needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with client representatives to understand user needs
• Create wireframes and prototypes for new product ideas
• Plan and implement new designs
• Design graphic UI elements (i.e. menus, tabs, forms, and widgets)
• Optimize existing UI and UX
• Conduct ongoing user research

Experience

• 1-2 years’ experience as a product designer or similar
• A design portfolio that you can share (showing your process and approach to design)
• Hands-on experience with various design tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Product design, Interaction design, Computer Science and/or other relevant field

Great if you also have:

• Ability to think through complex interaction design and systems, rather than feature by feature.
• Understanding of how design systems works and how to maintain a design library
