Frontend Engineer for Stockholm based sales gamification platform

Sparta is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our growing product team. The position is for our Stockholm office and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

We are currently running on our first iteration of our frontend platform, built on AngularJS. Your job will be to construct a new frontend platform and architecture to optimise for user experience and scalability. That being said, you’ll have a lot of freedom to choose a platform and framework you believe is the best fit.

You will use your extensive knowledge of frontend web technologies in the browser to make the Sparta web app a “best-in-class” experience. You will work with real-time data streams, engineer for performance on a wide variety of platforms and delight people by making the best software we can imagine.

You will work closely with the application engineering team to spec, build, test and deploy new features. We would like to make use of modern tools like Angular, React, ES6, and SASS, and we would like our UIs to work well on all screen sizes.

Responsibilities

• Work with Backend Engineers to build features and ship experiments
• Identify and communicate front-end best practices
• Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions
• Find and address performance issues
• Participate in design and code reviews

Skills & Requirements

• At least three years experience working professionally with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS in the browser
• Experience with modern browser technologies
• Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance and reliability issues
• Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
• A familiarity with a wide variety of software development methodologies, tools, languages and approaches
