External Job Description

As a part of Elekta Instrument AB’s strategic direction to further invest in the innovation of tomorrow’s radiotherapy solution, we are recruiting Software Engineers to drive this development forward with us. Your location will be at Elekta’s head office in Stockholm, Sweden.

What you’ll do at Elekta

As a Software Engineer you will be involved in all phases of the product creation process, including requirements, design, implementation, and test. If suitable, you will also have the opportunity to take on the role as a scrum master. You will be a part of a cross-functional agile team, developing advanced treatment delivery solutions for our future radiation therapy devices. The agile team will be part of an international program working according to Scale Agile Framework (SAFe).

Together with your peers you will develop software applications in a microservice architecture. Your team will develop the software creating complete workflows, including UI, in an algorithm intense environment.

Your main responsibilities:

Software implementation, primarily in C#.Net, including unit/integration tests and code reviews. Actively participate in architectural and detailed design, requirement engineering and product risk analysis. Contribute to the team success through engineering excellence, understanding and adhering to the quality system and proactively identify improvements.

The right stuff

To be a suitable candidate for this position we believe you have a master’s degree within Computer Science, or equivalent, and a solid experience of software development using C#/.Net.

Experience within areas such as


  • Advanced Message Queueing Protocols and preferably RabbitMQ
  • REST API
  • Web-based Applications
  • Microservices
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • Azure DevOps
  • HTML5, Angular
  • .Net Core
  • Git

Experience of working in a regulated industry is considered as a plus.
