Job Description

Vogue Scandinavia is looking for a talented Junior Beauty Editor for our Stockholm team, who is truly passionate about the beauty industry. This person will assist with the process of creating, developing, and writing beauty articles for the magazine and website. A successful candidate will be up to date on all the latest beauty trends in Scandinavia as well as have a good understanding of the technical science of the beauty industry and be able to bring their creative ideas to life.

Responsibilities

• Writing beauty articles for both print and digital for Vogue Scandinavia
• Keep up with the latest developments in the beauty industry
• Attending Press Events and liaising with beauty PRs
• Consistently create interesting, high-quality written content
• Test and review products which are being featured in the magazine and online
• Manage the beauty cupboard
• Participate in social video content
• Develop stories and trends of interest for both print and digital
• Calling in products and styling of our still life imagery

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong contacts within the beauty industry
• Strong organizational skills, a self-directed work style, and excellent communication skills
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the beauty industry
• Strong contacts within the industry on an international level
• Excellent written English skills
• Able to produce shoots and videos for online and print
• Ability to write flawless copy on deadline in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of working or studying overseas
• Experience of coordinating beauty shoots and editorials, both in print and online

Ideal Candidate

• Fluency in the English language, both verbal and written
• Hands-on experience with MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop, or other publishing tools
• Passionate about the latest beauty trends and be able to bring their creative ideas to life.
• Background in the technical side of beauty
• Experience in beauty, fashion or newspaper journalism
