What’s in it for you?
In our department within Safe Vehicle Automation we are around 120 skilled engineers creating tomorrow’s platform solutions for our active safety and self-driving vehicles. Our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Drive & ADAS Platform develops the sensor and software platform that enables development and deployment of functionality such as collision avoidance, automatic parking and autonomous driving. An autonomous vehicle will generate gigabits of data per second and data driven development is a corner stone to achieving autonomy. You will get a chance to develop the software that is necessary for to us perform decision making, system validation and development of our Machine Learning models. What will you do?
As lead software developer, you will be the key person in the design of data collection functionality for the data driven development of our active safety and self-driving vehicles. As a lead developer in this field you will guide the team in designing and developing safety critical systems, memory management, inter process communication and data transfer over mobile networks. You will be an important contributor in all stages from requirement definition on system level, via architectural design and implementation, to validation and verification. You will work closely with other stakeholders and partners internally and externally.

Do you fit the profile?
To be the right person in this role we see that you have at least 5-10 years of experience of software development of embedded safety critical systems, C++, Linux QNX/Autosar. Your academic background is minimum a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar. You have proven hands-on experience in design of efficient memory management and buffering, parallel processing, inter process communication and time series data processing & management. 

As for your personality qualities, we see that you are a driven team-oriented and self-motivated person with a technical mind-set. You like to lead by example, and you want to continuously learn and innovate. Of course, you are a good communicator and have excellent English skills both verbally and in writing. You are motivated by using your problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
