Senior Software Developer

Verisure Innovation is looking for a Developer with expert knowledge in Java and MySql, a team player who is open-minded, curious, and passionate for always learning new skills.

Verisure Technology Center is Sweden’s award-winning innovation center for the connected & protected smart-home market. We create services and products for smarter, safer and more secure homes, serving customers throughout Northern Europe. In Verisure Innovation, over 450 engineers are working in our brand-new office space in Malmö, as well as in our Linköping offices, across hardware, embedded, networking, software development projects.

About the Job

As Senior Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and debug Java Back-end server software, together with a highly skilled and senior team. You will work and interface various internal cross-functional teams.

You and the team will be responsible for software development of the back-end event-handling, the infrastructure that handle Alarm and IOT events. The event-handling infrastructure is built around Java, MySql, Cassandra and RabbitMQ and handles billions of events every day.

What you bring

The right candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an engineer, working with software engineering design principals and development. You have experience in software development in back-end Java/MySql Environment, expert knowledge in Java and knowledge of structured design and MySql.

We expect you to have experience in agile methodology and be fluent in English.

Experience in Python, Linux, using Git for development patch/tree management is seen as meritorious.

We value your analytical mindset, having both a good holistic view as well as strong attention to detail, together with your ability to self-motivate, and interest in developing skills in new areas.
