This is a role within a very interesting area, Autonomous Vehicles controlled through a cloud-based platform. You will have the possibility to influence and contribute while working with the future technologies for vehicles. Join us in the position as Senior Site Reliability Engineer!

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

YOU WILL
You will be part of a department working with cloub-based software technologies connected to our vehicles. Previously working a lot with prototyping we are now getting closer to production for our solutions, and therefore an increased focus on site reliability is at focus. Product autonomous systems will be deployed in environments that require this and our systems needs to be stable and robust.

As a Site Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing the SRE concept, and as a result of that increase site reliability and performance. You will need to use strategies such as automation, blameless postmortems and understand how to balance feature development against stability requirements. Since the systems are directly involved in controlling 50-ton autonomous vehicles, you will need to take security seriously and automate this as much as you can.

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will be to:

- drive high reliability into systems by working closely with software development and IT-operations teams
- automate infrastructure with code such as CDK, Terraform or similar in CI Pipelines
- help our feature teams improve their system's uptime by building high availability applications
- engage in Cyber ​​Security and work with releases
- create and optimize our tools and infrastructure
- design, deploy, and maintain tools and services to support a robust infrastructure

YOU ARE
We expect you to have a long and relevant experience for this position. This could be previously working with Site Reliability engineering and experience in relevant areas such as Infrastructure as Code and building / defining monitoring. The exact tools we use are not absolute demands, but we believe you have experience with something like our technology stack and want to learn more of; Kafka, Java, Python, Golang , AWS Fargate, GitLab CI pipelines, Terraform, AWS API Gateway, WAF and CDK / Cloudformation.

We believe in being autonomous and agile and value team-players and pragmatical individuals. This position will require you to share your knowledge and ideas regarding SRE, to have the educational mind-set is therefore important. You also need to have good communicational skills and feel comfortable in interacting with people on various levels. A problem-solving and proactive approach in your daily work is of course important, such as being creative and able to perform under pressure. We also believe monitoring, metrics and performance are always on your mind - and it helps you take data driven decisions. WE OFFER
