Our Exciting Opportunity

Customer interest and expectations on security is increasing, especially with the introduction of 5G and related services. Product security and information protection are high priorities at Ericsson. Do you want to help us find vulnerabilities in our products before others do?

We are now searching for a Vulnerability Analysis (VA) developer to the VA section in one of the Security organizations, located in Kista, Stockholm. You will work in a team which is responsible for Security Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Analysis of Ericsson product(s) in the RAN networks with the focus on 5G. Your part will primarily be to perform Vulnerability analysis and test, but also be part of test automation and tools development depending on your experience. The work will be a mixture of white and black box testing using common tools such as kali-suite, Nessus, fuzz-testers and other related tools. You should be able to present your findings and propose mitigations to developers, testers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and preparing VA Environment – lab setup, troubleshooting, configuration changes, and new tools deployment
  • Participate in Vulnerability test analysis for features and products
  • VA test and reporting per feature/release for RAN nodes
  • Provide feedback to projects/programs based on performed risk analysis
  • Opportunity to lead small tester group and interface other projects
  • Interact with automation team
  • Propose and drive improvements when needed.

To be successful in the role you are

  • a soon to be or recent graduate holding a technical degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
  • someone with a genuine interest in software development and product and application security.
  • a person with ability to perform test analysis, evaluate test results, and produce a verdict.
  • someone with experience from working with Vulnerability Analysis or Security in a mixed target environment including embedded systems, Linux and highly distributed systems.
  • a person with experience of programming in php, python, bash, java or similar environment.
  • able to communicate in English, both verbally and in written.
