Frontend developer with full stack ambitions

Do you want to be a part of building the future service tool for Scania? We are now looking for a system developer with frontend skills who would like to join our predevelopment team.

As a part of Scania’s transformation from a traditional vehicle manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions, we at Vehicle Service Information have embarked on an exciting journey to deliver solutions and services that meet the new demands of a digitalized and ever-changing world. This comes with new ways of thinking, working, and developing services.

Our services and products are used 24/7 by more than 15.000 technicians in Scania’s global service network to keep the rolling stock of more than 700.000 vehicles up and running to deliver on time, all the time.

Your tasks

You will initially bring frontend capabilities to our cross-functional predevelopment team. In this team, we take new customer demands, technologies, and solutions ideas and create prototypes and proof-of-concepts. We then support the remainder of Scania in the handover for industrialization and operations. The technology stack ranges from IoT implementations to utilizing AI/ML methods.

If you aren’t already, you will gradually become a full stack developer as the needs will vary over time and by the initiatives the team are working on. The team shares the responsibilities among each other and we strive together for goal fulfilment as well as team- and personal development.

Your profile

We see that you are a team player, who is eager to learn and move things forward. You are good at understanding and communicating technical solutions on both an overall and a detailed level. You are quality conscious, responsive, cooperative, and service minded. In this team we are customer focused so customer first is a must

You have several years of experience writing scalable and dynamic web applications using Typescript, Angular and CSS. It is also a good merit to know how to write scalable micro-services running in Docker containers as well as writing serverless applications.

You have an academic education at university level in computer science or comparable professional experience. You communicate in English (mandatory) and Swedish (preferably) in both speech and writing. Last but not least, as this is a predevelopment team, we believe that innovative thinking and curiosity are two of your stronger personality traits. So you need to love to learn new things. It’s a plus if you have worked in an agile team which share responsibility of a system together with other teams.
