The story behind CtrlPrint

The story of CtrlPrint started in the late 1990’s in Sweden. The business idea was to solve the hassle around annual reporting of public companies and producing a designed annual report.

One part of the agency focused on web development, and they started to think about how web technology could build a solution that addressed the challenges of the current way of working. After InDesign was released in 1999, the surrounding developments have been based on the tool and its text editor InCopy.

CtrlPrint’s primary aim has always been to make the production of designed annual reports more efficient and more flexible, and to increase security and transparency of annual reporting projects. Together with the customers, company has developed user-friendly platform and solutions for the challenges that arise in complex Adobe InDesign/InCopy projects with many different participants and stakeholders.

Description and profile

QA Manager

CtrlPrint is now looking for a QA Manager located in Stockholm.

As our QA Manager you will become the safekeeper of CtrlPrints excellent quality of service.

The role is critical in setting a structure for testing and test automatization.

In this role you will define a test strategy and roadmap to implement it.

You will champion best practices for testing, testing processes and testing tools to ensure our teams are working as efficiently and effectively as possible. You will facilitate knowledge sharing between teams, through regular exchange opportunities and centralized documentation.

You will actively collaborate with the client service department, developers, UX and product management.

You will promote the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, methods, and standards to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs.

You will develop test cases and automize test activities. You will manage test accounts and test data and write detailed and clear bug reports to help our team prioritize them by severity and impact.

As QA Manager, you will be responsible for guaranteeing the highest quality of our product releases.

You will also be working with troubleshooting together with the client services department.

Together with the product manager you will be responsible for approx. 12 releases every year.

In this role, you will be reporting to our Development Manager.

Profile

Experience & expertise:

The role requires work experience from a role with similar responsibility.

The ideal candidate for the position will have a documented history and is well experience of earlier roles in QA and test management.

You need to have experience from working with testing in various systems such as Mac, Windows, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. You will also work in the page layout applications Adobe InDesign and InCopy.[AS1]

Hands-on experience in automatization of testing.

Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

You should have long experience working in the proprietary issue tracking system Jira.

Having experience in development/programming would be an advantage.

Are used to working in an international environment and to express yourself fluently in English.

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
