In brief

We believe that our future success will be based on our ability to leverage the large amounts of data generated on our platform every day. We need the ability to gain fast insights from usage of our services to enable short cycles of product refinement and be able to create services based on all our data.

During 2020 we began migrating our backend services to GCP with the ambition of being one of the few banks with cloud-based services in a highly regulated industry. We will now start to rewrite our Analytics Platform from the bottom up on Google Cloud Platform.

Nordnet has more than 1.2 million customers interacting with us through the web, app and our social network Shareville. Now you have the opportunity to enter an exciting journey at an early stage by joining the Analytics Platform and help us leverage all our data.

This is part of the role

The Analytics Platform is a newly formed team of data engineers, data scientists, data analysts and BI-developers. We are a part of an expanding Tech organization and you will work closely to both your team members and other development teams.

We will own and operate a modern data and analytics platform in the cloud that allows insights for product and business areas within Nordnet and also allows scalable and resilient data products and services

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Participate in the design and drive the implementation of our new Analytics platform
• Build data pipelines to leverage the cloud platform
• Collaborate with other development teams and be an ambassador for our team

This is you

You are passionate about software development and continuous improvement, and you want to contribute with your experience and expertise. In your work, you are organized, methodical and professional in a way that benefits the team’s working climate and ability to deliver high quality solutions.

We believe that most of the following characteristics describes you

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a data engineer
• Experience from building data pipelines in GCP using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow and Composer
• Good knowledge of Java
• Are a problem solver – if you need an answer you will find it
• Have an interest in the finance domain and the fintech industry
