The team is a part of the Technology organization at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. We design the solutions of the future including perception, controls, connectivity, cybersecurity and cloud services for autonomous vehicles. ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are eager to get to know a creative software developer that likes to work with applications towards autonomous vehicles. Since the area is broad, it also means your background could be quite diverse. You have programming skills in C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, and might also have some application knowledge in robotics, autonomous vehicles, mining or similar. Perhaps you are proficient in control theory or perception, or you might have knowledge in cloud development; micro service application architecture, etc. Most importantly, though, is that you like to solve problems, and are eager to learn new things and to constantly develop your skills.

In the development we use an agile framework so you will be working in an agile team of engineers to ensure the best possible application for our customers. Since the solution must work with high confidence in a very tough environment, the work also includes quick iteration where code development is combined with real machine tests on our nearby proving ground.

As a person, we hope that you are open and creative with a can-do attitude. You are fluent in English and love working in an international, multicultural and fun setting so you will fit right in!
