Systems operations specialist

Perido is recruiting a Senior Systems Operations Analysts to our client, a well known and global company working in a complex and critical IT environment in their everyday business. The position is placed at our clients? office about 15 minutes out of centralStockholm.

Here you will use your broad technology base and wide range technology knowledge (from infrastructure to functionality) in order to:

- Coordinate and lead colleagues in a technical complex environment
- Be flexible, hands on and able to work in a fast paces, high pressure, client-focused an collaborative environment
- Be a part of all activities regarding the application such as handling of incoming issues, new functionality (requirements), launch of new versions etc.
- Act as specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements
- Plan, test and implement changes to the system
- Take part in different projects regarding current and new customers
- Handle all incoming 2nd line application support issues
- Maintain operational documentation needed for second line operation
- Manage smaller projects and independently carry out parts of large implementation projects

In the roll as a Systems Operations Specialist you will be a part of the Application Management organization. Your responsibilities are to maintaining 100% systems uptime as well as making sure that you always deliver according to the SLA agreements.
To be successful in this role you need the ability to solve problems in straightforward situations and know how to analyze possible solutions using existing experience, standards and processes. Furthermore, it's important that you have excellent language skills in written and spoken English and Swedish. Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science or equivalent
- 2-3 years work experience from operation of large and complex computer systems
- Deep knowledge in databases (Oracle but also MS SQL server, MySQL and PostGreSQL)
- Excellent understanding of UNIX/Linux Operating Systems and Linux command line
- Excellent language skills in written and spoken English and Swedish
- ITIL - Awareness
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office

Also valuable:

- Knowledge of scripting is an advantage (mainly Perl)
- Knowledge of large, real-time transaction systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of the financial industry is an advantage.
