Fullstack Java Developer

Our APIs and the platform dealt with over 100 billion engagements last year. Enterprise customers include 8 out of 10 of the largest US tech companies, major airlines, banks, retail, e-tail, internet, ride-hailing, parcel delivery companies and more.

Sinch is growing and we have recently formed a new team to work on our SMS platform. The SMS Web Team consist today of three people and work on both the publicly facing client dashboard as well as the admin tools used by Sinch staff related to SMS.

The essence of the role

The Sinch SMS platform processes in excess of 1 Billion API events per month and hasn’t broken a sweat which demonstrates that we can scale with our customers’ needs no matter how big they are. Our core delivery engine is rated at more than 10,000 transactions per second per node.

This is an opportunity for a Full stack developer to join our team. As a Software Engineer at Sinch you build and own web applications using the latest versions of React, TypeScript, JavaScript on the Frontend and Java and NodeJS on the Backend. You will work with talented colleagues with a desire to achieve great design fidelity, usability and accessibility.

As our new Software Developer you will:

• Be heavily involved in turning user stories into code, this is a hands-on code design and coding role!
• Develop user-facing features and applications
• Work in an agile, cross-functional team

Who are you?

Teamwork and communication skills are essential here. You will coordinate with the rest of the teams working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, quality, and attention to detail is important.

In order to contribute to this role you have:

• Strong knowledge or hands-on experience of Java and Spring frameworks
• At least 2 years of general Frontend development experience with modern JavaScript, React.js and related ecosystem
• Proficiency with TypeScript and build- and transpilation-tools
• A relevant educational background in Engineering
• You have experience working in an international environment in English
