Software Developer (Client)

Are you a programmer that wants challenging problems to solve using advanced new technologies? Would you like to develop software that helps our customer in their effort to meet with environmental targets and avoid power outages? Are you interested in C#, C and C++ programming on Windows with a special interest in user interface programming? Do you want to explore microservices, containers and cloud hosting?

You will be part of Hitachi ABB Power Grids Network Control unit that provides leading network management and control systems for planned and unplanned outage management, generation, transmission and distribution management systems, SCADA and process control solutions. The unit also provides commercial energy portfolio management tools for planning, forecasting and running your day-to-day operations. Offerings comprise a broad range of solutions to address the most critical needs of utility and power companies.

Your responsibilities

• Develop new features in our next generation HMI
• Correct bugs in previous and coming releases
• In some developments, act as lead developer meaning taking the full responsibility for the feature (specification, work breakdown, architectural approach etcetera)
• Documenting feature (specifications, manuals, online help etcetera)
• Create automated test-cases
• When applicable, resume the role as component owner for certain parts of the system
• Be part of the quality assurance processes to ensure a good product
• Support and guide others in your team when needed

Your background

• We are looking for engaged, structured, persistent and well-organized who can work independently and as a member of a team
• You are open-minded and eager to learn new things
• You hold a University degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Exerience for development of industrial software
• Good knowledge of C#, Azure DevOps, git and Windows
• Quality awareness and you are with high commitment and personal drive
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Swedish will be an advantage
