As a Software Engineer at H&M Group, you will work in the Colleague and Corporate Support domain within Business Tech, in the product area Corporate Support Functions. You will join the product team Store Lifecycle together with ten inspiring and driven co-workers. The team manages a global platform to support the H&M store portfolio and manage the entire lifecycle of our stores and premises. A platform with different integrated systems handling everything related to a new store opening, re-build, and closure of a store.

As a Software Engineer/Solution Architect you will focus on the solution architecture of mainly our Store Life Cycle Management, SaaS modules and APIs. You will be the spokesperson towards H&M Business Tech teams & external partners around solution creation, development of roadmap and backlogs.

We are in the process of migrating from our customer solutions base on a .Net solution to Tango SAAS Java solution on AWS.

You are the one having the holistic view, using user insights, of how the Store Lifecycle solution across markets adds value and ties into the defined business outcomes. ​You will identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options for evolving the solution to add even more value, taking the existing systems into account. You also need to have an agile mindset and be skilled in coordinating with other teams.

REPONSIBILITIES

· Analyze and understand complex information and share it in an effective and pedagogical communication

· Co-plan between H&M Bus Tech teams & partners around feature rollout and priorities.

· Translate the product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design according to existing architecture guard rails.

· In close cooperation with H&M Bus Tec teams, SaaS vendors & other external partners, design and build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languages​

· Evaluation and onboarding of new external partners.

It’s your priority to make sure the team delivers solutions on time and identify and eliminate potential waste.

Qualifications

You will need to have proven experience in the following:

• BS in science, technology, or engineering discipline
• Creating system design and models used as part of the software solutions
• Strong working experience with SaaS solution providers
• Ability to understand the overall solution in a broad landscape (what-if thinking, design consistency)
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with External Partners, Engineers in other Products/Areas or Enabling engineering teams to solve and reduce technical dependencies​
• Facilitating agile ceremonies, Scrum, DevOps, define MVP: s based on capabilities and architectural landscape
• Strong experience of API architecture (Azure/AWS), design and developing APIs, microservices, and system integration architecture.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, planning, and abstract thinking
• Evaluating, onboarding and maintaining external SAAS partners
• Experience in migrate on prem data in to SAAS platform.

· Experience in convert file-based integration into API

• Strong knowledge in Programming and Database administration
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
