We are now looking for a .Net backend developer for the exciting start-up Record Union in Stockholm.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This role will land you right in the middle of an exciting and evolving industry - music. Every day you will be part of a team helping thousands of artists distribute their music to major online music services worldwide.

The role is split into two main areas of responsibility: Refactoring legacy code and helping to build new features for our users.

On the refactoring side, you will be responsible for helping update outdated code on the site to make it compatible with Entity framework. This is vital to the growth and maintainability of our product and is one of the most important challenges we have in front of us as we scale our service.

The refactoring project will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of our system. This foundation will enable your expertise and creativity to help us design, build and deploy new features and functionality in our product pipeline. These include many types of new features, ranging from new payment systems, analytics tools, mobile apps, content systems and APIs.

Tools are important, and as a member of our team you can choose your own hardware configuration which best suits your needs. Our newly furbished workplace is located right in the centre of the beautiful city of Stockholm and boasts an energetic and creative team from a diverse range of backgrounds.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- You are a motivated, confident and smart developer with good experience developing in .Net technologies (Framework 3.5+)
- High competence in Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with database architecture and design
- C#
- ASP .NET / MVC
- Experience with Entity Framework
- A broad understanding of frameworks, libraries and design patterns
- Good command of HTML, CSS and Java Script (primarily jQuery)
- Excellent programming skills, can write structured, maintainable code

Other

- Must be living or willing to relocate to Stockholm
- Good organization skills and ability to work solo as well as team
- Fluent in written and spoken English
