Are you obsessed with observability and automating operations tasks? Would you like to be part of an exciting journey, to take Viaplay global? Are your dreams up in the cloud? Awesome, then we think you would love working here! We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our TOC Engineering team here in Stockholm.

The position
You will join our TOC Engineering team that is responsible for bridging the gap between our Cloud Platform (AWS), Operations and Product Development by building scalable and highly reliable solutions that help reduce incidents and resolution time as well as proactive prevention across the platform. This includes everything from automating surveillance and alarms on an infrastructure and application stack level, to teaching developers how to instrument and monitor their services. Our platform is highly available, has low maintenance, is scalable and based on a dockerized microservice architecture. We are hosted in AWS and are 100% cloud native.

We are now looking for an expert in Site Reliability Engineering - and this is where you come in! With your knowledge and experience using industry best-practices you’ll help us bring our Observability and Monitoring solutions to the next level. Since we have a stellar selection of TV Series and Movies content and Sports rights such as Premier League, Champions League, NHL, UFC etc. you will be heavily involved in architecting and engineering solutions for handling high traffic events.

You will be responsible for providing observability, monitoring and automation to create a resilient infrastructure to keep up with the continued growth of streaming traffic. If you are all about Site Reliability Engineering - we have an offer you cannot refuse!

The challenge ahead
Since we are going global with Viaplay loads of new customers are coming in every day. With your experience you will help create a nice experience for Product Development, but also help them to move fast, stay compliant and to take end-to-end responsibility for their products and code in production. In addition, we’re all about data. With your contribution we will take our automated monitoring of our traffic to the next level, in turn preventing our service from going down. Some of your daily challenges will include:

- Using a wide array of tools and services to monitor our web traffic.
- Developing automation solutions for data collection
- Ensuring our platform is ready to support the scale of our business
- Using AWS solutions to monitor, identify and mitigate threats in our Cloud platform.
