UX Designer

You will join an established Design Team made up of UX Leads, UX Designers, UI Designers, Researchers as well as Service Designers. Your role and responsibility will be to work within a Scrum Team and to collaborate with your fellow Designers, Product Managers, stakeholders, and users to design value driven solutions. This value, we call ‘Rotation-as-a-Service'. It focuses on improving the overall efficiency of our customers rotating equipment by combining our unique application insights, together with the right products, connected technologies and solutions.

Naturally this role will require you to conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and workshops and translate learnings into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to fulfil SKF’s business goals. You’ll also join us in championing the need for design and advocating for user centricity!

Key responsibilities

• Create high-end experiences for users with a focus on outcome driven designs that connects to SKF’s broader strategies

• Effectively articulate user, business, and technical reasoning for design decisions to achieve consensus around designs

• Create and validate prototypes rapidly that can demonstrate the solution to the problems/user needs

• Advocate for best practices in UX and interaction design

• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and Product Managers on feature requests and generate design artifacts that can be applied to software development activities

Requirements

• Professional experience working as a Designer

• University degree within a design, creative or human behaviour related field

• Demonstrated abilities to drive discussions, workshops and have critical thinking to meet design goals

• Experience working within enterprise solutions within large to mid-sized organisations

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and experience interacting with both business and product development people

• Willingness to travel to support project activities

Location: Office located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Hybrid working.

The position reports to Global Design Manager – Digital Product Design.
