Platform Owner

WHO YOU ARE

You are able to quickly attain the knowledge of our data and analytics platform. You have worked in this area before and have a high level of understanding and broad experience in modern business intelligence, advanced analytics, Azure cloud services, Power BI and data bricks.

You are able to take ownership and make effective decisions and feel comfortable in leading and empowering team members with your influential leadership and are great at stimulating creative ideas and new perspectives that add value.

After finishing higher education within Information Management, you have at least 5 years of experience in managing ongoing development, maintenance and operations of a global data & analytics platform. This includes different layers of data ingestion, data lake store, data warehousing, reporting & analytical tools as well as Machine learning capabilities. You have a good understanding about the collaboration with data governance, front-end development (e.g., dashboards) and integration. Furthermore, you have:

• extensive experience with agile development practices, particularly owning and running specific agile events such as backlog refinement, backlog priorities and sprint reviews

• ownership of the roadmap and are directing effort to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives

• a focus on delivery, with excellent attention to details, ensuring continued data layer consistency

• experience managing the life cycle from requirements through implementation and test and to release

• experience in leading an off-shore DevOps team constellation as well as continuous delivery form business requirements into running solutions in production

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US

As a Platform Owner at Ingka Centres, you will own the strategy, value proposition and roadmap for this data & analytics platform in our global organisation. You will lead a highly motivated outsourced off-shore DevOps team and ensure they have a good understanding of the platform vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritization.

The role is very inspirational, as you work in close collaboration with other Product & Platform Owners in our digital teams as well as with numerous stakeholders across Ingka Centres business. It gives you great opportunities in learning our business as well as deepening your own skills in modern cloud technologies, modern BI implementations, and agile ways of working. You will have a large degree of freedom within your accountability, acting both as ambassador and gatekeeper.You will also:

• be responsible for maximizing the business value resulting from the development and operation of the platform, and ensuring required technologies, toolsets and supporting services, by making trade-off decisions as needed

• define and deliver acceptance criteria and the 'Definition of Done' working collaboratively with the rest of the team

• drive consistency in practice, process, toolset and architecture within the platform

• be subject matter expert for the team, providing insight, context and additional information as needed to help understanding of what is required

• collaborate with Platform & Product Owners across Digital, Architects and external vendors to refine the backlog and identify cross journey dependencies

• work cross-functional to ensure that the agile team has what is needs, and remove blockers that prevent the agile team to maximize the delivery of digital products

• be involved in sprint planning meetings to help provide clarity and elaborate features to help the team better understand the requirements and how success will be measured

• lead, support and secure a competent and high performing, mainly sourced, team and act as a subject matter expert for the team

The Platform Owner role forms part of the Commercial & Digital domain, whose purpose is to drive change towards developing the Meeting Place Concept by optimizing commercial revenue stream ideas, entrepreneurial proficiency and customer experience delivery. To continually strengthen and develop a strong brand concept and consumer brand across all touchpoints to attract, engage and retain customers.
