As you can imagine, keeping track of over 1 000 000 connected customer assets rolling around the world is indeed a challenge. Now ponder, that vehicles in a few years will be autonomous – and you’ve got the challenge of your life. Our Technology team manages the development and maintenance of our global connectivity platform – and your experience is needed.
We are now looking for a Senior Application Developer within Framework Services team. Here you will be an integral part of one of the development teams focused on the underlying framework services used to support all of the VGCS development deliveries.
The role
- Develop and maintain Java applications
- Deploy and operate services in a microservice architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement for better quality, functionality, cost effectiveness, etc.
- Actively contribute to the solution design of new services.
- Continuously reflect upon how we are doing things and where we can improve and make sure that is reflected in our roadmap.
Your profile
We are looking for Java Developers with superpowers - excellent analytical skills, great at problem solving, passionate about technology and loves developing software! In this team we are curious about everything at work and have a “can do” attitude solving our challenges together. We would like our new colleagues to have this same curiosity, drive and being a team player.
Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you have:
- A university degree in software engineering, computer science or similar
- Several years’ worth of working experience as a software developer, but we also recognize experience through own hobby projects.
- Experience of Java 11 and Spring Framework/Spring Boot
- Knowledge in asynchronous programming, JMS, ActiveMQ, microservice architecture, cloud services and test automation.
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken
- Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen
