Lead Software Engineer

We’re currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team working with our pay after delivery team. We are the face of Qliro to any customer using our services and we own the full value chain of our customers’ transactions, from what you see to how it lands in our backend systems. You’ll join a small team and have the possibility to build the team forward. You have the chance to join-in with Qliro’s mission to create WOW-experiences. Join us and work in a cross-functional team of developers, product experts and designers to continue building our customer platforms.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll have a role that encompasses experience and you should be prepared to share that experience, coach where required and act as a role model to enhance the technical competence of the team. This is a hands-on role, where you will work together with the team to continue building our products/features.

What you’ll do:

- Take a fair share of development work in the team.
- Lead and own the design of technical solutions within your product to meet the product requirements.
- Lead and inspire the team to share knowledge, bring ideas and invite comments, feedback and suggestions from all the members of the team.
- Partner up with Product to ensure that technical capabilities are well understood and that we continuously maintain and improve our systems to the level we need.
- Take responsibility for the technical items on the product backlog and ensure that technical debt is being addressed.
- Drive the technical vision and direction for the product and ensure that everyone is onboard.
- Align your product architecture with the overall Qliro technical architecture.
- Take initiative in solving cross team problems and attending workshops including the Architecture Forum.
- Identify gaps in technical competence of the team and work together with the Engineering Manager to address them and encourage competence growth for the team and its individuals

- Have extensive experience in web development as a full stack engineer with prime focus on backend
- Have insights on microservice infrastructure, understanding of software design patterns, clean code and best practices

- Have experience and/or interest in working with DevOps, infrastructure as code and cloud technologies, more specifically AWS
- Are curious and have a highly collaborative work style, a wish to share what you already know and jumping at the opportunity to dive into new technology and territory
- Pay great attention to details and are aware that both the user experience and the code behind it needs to be at the right level to achieve a great product.
