Systems Developer - Web portals

Sandvik IT Services is the Sandvik Group's internal company with responsibility for infrastructure, application development and system management in the IT area. Sandvik IT Services is expanding and we are now looking for a Systems Developer who is interested in integration solutions and will be an important part of Sandvik IT Services' Application Delivery. You will be a part of a team of 26 highly professional individuals with various skillsets, gender and age. The position is based in Sandviken.

You will be focusing on our delivery of the Tooling Internet Business Platform (TIBP - a commercial web platform for Content, E-Commerce and other services). It is a part of the overall ambition to deliver the next generation of business systems supporting the business objectives of Sandvik Machining Solutions' brands.

Job summary
In this role as Systems Developer, you are an important part of Sandvik IT Services' Application Delivery, being responsible for developing and implementing IT solutions to support the business objectives for Sandvik Machining Solutions' various brands. The job is all about system development of web portals. Among other tasks, your workday covers core implementations, installations, configuration, customization, integration, data migrations and maintenance. You do requirement analysis and contribute towards ongoing major development initiatives, perform testing and participate in software release and post-release activities and conduct competitive analysis for subsequent product build/release cycles.

This position involves some traveling.

Your profile
Your background includes a degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education, and several years of experience from software development. You have worked with integration of services and platforms and have experience from analyzing business needs and extensive knowledge of the capabilities and benefits of different IT solutions. You also have good skills in SharePoint and .NET development, using clean coding practices such as test driven development and refactoring. As we act in a global context, you must be fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
