What is Hive Endpoint team?

The Endpoint team's main responsibility is maintaining, monitoring and improving the Hive Agent, our core desktop application, installed on millions of our customers' employees' computers. The Agent represents a vital part of Hive’s ecosystem, providing a unique point of view of our customers’ networks, and a crucial platform for bringing new products to life! The team has a high focus on security to ensure that our end customers are protected against attack vectors with the use of our application. Finally, the team continuously cross-collaborates with our product teams to integrate new requirements and features into the application in a secure, performant and maintainable way.

Working as a Software Engineer in the Endpoint team

You will work closely with your team on the Hive Agent, a desktop service application built in Java, maintaining and evolving its code and automating test and packaging through Azure DevOps CI/CD. Together you will build code that will run on millions of machines and learn all about enterprise networks and security. You will be driving our vision to re-design the Hive Agent as an edge platform, running on a hundred million endpoints, on top of which new products and feature modules can be built, securely deployed, and executed.

Previous experience

Bachelor of computer science/engineering or equivalent

4+ years of programming experience

Software development in Java

Advanced Networking knowledge (HTTP, WebSockets, TLS)

Great communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Nice to have

Experience in application development in Windows or Mac

Knowledge of Azure DevOps
