Arbetsbeskrivning

An ambulance with emergency lights on quickly navigates through traffic to rescue a person in distress. The feeling that you have contributed to the rapid response of the ambulance is very rewarding. The contribution to society is evident when you work with technology that saves lives.

We are about 100 people at CSAM Public Safety. The majority are located in Gothenburg, but we also have offices in Oslo, Karlstad, Stockholm, Valencia (Spain), Reading (UK) and Auckland (NZ). Of course, we also have “home offices” and it is perfectly ok to be working from home too.

We are expanding and growing our team looking for a software developer who is passionate about innovation and want to contribute with new ideas and breaking new grounds. We have a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. If you want to work in this inspiring environment where you also contribute to society – then this might be the position for you!

Ansvarsområden

Your daily work
You will systemize and develop media communication software for mission critical operations such as Emergency Response (112) or Search and Rescue. The rapid evolution of the media communication area opens a lot of new opportunities to develop and integrate new functionality, e.g. in support of NG112 services, and the migration to PS-LTE replacing the current Tetra/Rakel digital radio system.

You will work with implementing new technologies, new functionality, and be part of our journey to migrate our architecture to run on containers and move into the cloud. Together with the rest of the development team, other developers, product owners and solution architects you will ensure that this is systemized and implemented in the very best way.

We have a complete software stack with both back-end and front-end (User Interface) products that are integrated together into our system solution. Our products’ target characteristics are user-friendly, automation and simplicity. We also make sure to have fun at work – we believe that if you have fun together with your colleagues, you also do a good job!

Kvalifikationer

You have a passion for systemization and programming and constantly want to develop your skills and are happy to share your knowledge and ideas with the entire team. In addition to your university degree in software engineering, you are a team player with a positive attitude and can-do mentality. Furthermore, you are good at finding solutions that you are explaining verbally and in writing.

We expect that you have at least five years of relevant experience in:

  • Data/Telecom Communication SW development, preferably from large and complex real-time networks
  • Telecom protocols such as SIP, IMS, WebRTC, etc.
  •  .NET and C#
  •  Git
It is a merit if you also have experience of one or more of the following:
  • RESTful APIs
  •  Containers and orchestration, preferably Kubernetes
Swedish citizenship is required, as well as full proficiency in English and Swedish, both spoken and in writing.
