Our Exciting Opportunity

The main focus at the Ericsson site in Karlskrona is to provide charging functions where our solutions are responsible for the charging almost 2 billion subscribers today. The site also has major responsibilities when it comes to setting up user and service data in the network, as well as providing solution for machine-to-machine communication and the emerging utility industry.

The Karlskrona site has a very strong track-record of inventing solutions that becomes new profitable products on the market. A lot of attention is also put on innovation and exploring new technical possibilities.

To support Ericsson applications in a cloud native journey, Ericsson has developed what is called BSS Application Manager (BAM). BAM is a platform for the microservices developed all around the world.

We are now looking for senior software developer and/or architect to be part of the BAM Architect team!

In this position you will engage and be part of a team that are responsible for product architecture and design throughout the complete product life cycle.

In this role you will

Be in the forefront of software development where the latest technologies are adopted to ensure a cloud native approach by using and enhancing open source technologies and following principles of cloud native architectures.

The work includes working with requirement studies, planning, implementation, verification and support.

Our ways of working are based on agile principles, where Continuous Integration and Automation are corner stones in our development methodology. You will be part of a development organization that delivers software and support Ericsson on a global level where you will interact with peers in different parts of the world.

To be successful in the role you must have

• Master’s, Bachelor´s or equivalent degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• At least five years of experience from a similar role within software and product development
• Great knowledge and experience within Java and Python
• Good knowledge and experience of principles in cloud native architectures and its tools, Kubernetes, helm and docker
• Knowledge in Software development environment and tools like Eclipse, Git, Gerrit, Maven, Jenkins etc.
• Experience in M2M communication such as REST and Web Services
• Ability to drive strategic technical leadership
• Excellent inter-personal skills, flexibility and willingness to adapt & respond to change
• Creative approach to your daily work and an eagerness to find new ideas and solutions
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal

Experience in any of the following is considered a merit:

• SPARX Enterprise Architect
• Working with open source communities
• Linux systems
• Cloud/virtualization/infrastructure/IP networks
• ELK stack
• Working with Security in software-based systems
