As our quest to democratise financial services continues at blazing speed, our Payments Core Area is now looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with a great deal of experience and a truly Agile mindset to join our journey.

In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team and get the opportunity to co-tackle a wide variety of challenges together with a group of talented people driven by a shared ambition to create hassle-free solutions for our sellers.

Part of our Money Alliance, our Payments Core Area is the heart of the Zettle ecosystem. On a day-to-day basis, our Teams handle all transactions and negotiations with acquirers and processors. Simply stated, our mission consists in making sure that customers get charged and merchants get paid. Easy, right?

The skills to succeed

• Strong understanding of AWS.
• Ability to write clean code in a language or two to create tooling (Python, Golang or Java).
• Passion to automate away repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.
• Experience with Linux, IPSec VPNs, Docker.
• An “infrastructure-as-code" mindset and experience with Terraform.
• Understanding of developers perspective of platforms/systems.
• Understanding of relational databases (particularly Postgres).

• Great passion for working close with product and solving complex problems in small, agile and cross functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with a lot of different colleagues within the business functions as well as with other engineers.
• You gladly share your knowledge, experience and opinions while understanding and respecting that the last word comes from the team.
• You are known for your strong desire to learn and your endless appetite for exploring new things.

• Hardware security modules.
• Computer networking and switching
