Senior Developer

Responsibilities

• Write code and tests to develop new software products and/or features
• Consume RESTful APIs and other services
• Proficient in data storage technologies including relational and NoSQL databases
• Willingness to learn new technologies to become proficient across our stack
• Utilise your experience by contributing towards a secure and scalable architecture
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve business intelligence and insight into our data
• Participate in design and code reviews to drive quality
• Contribute towards common goals and strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field
• Experience as a full stack software engineer, designing, implementing and shipping cloud services or software products
• Experience working with front-end frameworks like React
• Experience with BI solutions, like Power BI
• Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design
• Good understanding of security mechanisms in modern web applications
• Fluent in at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java or C++
• Experience building systems using Domain Driven Design principles
• Experience with publishing solutions with Azure or AWS
• Fluent in English, and able to communicate efficiently with teams across borders

Nice to haves

• Experience working with distributed systems, building large-scale, secure and resilient services
• Good understanding of authentication and authorization in modern web applications using technologies like OpenID Connect, OAuth 2, SAML
• Experience with asynchronous pub-sub message bus architectures such as Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs or RabbitMQ
• Good understanding of business processes, privacy and GDPR
