We are growing our Artificial Intelligence team and looking for our new Artificial Intelligence Scientist at our office in Stockholm. We believe in a hybrid workplace which means you will both work remotely (from home) but also from the office at Kungsholmen.

What is Hive Artificial Intelligence team?

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) team at Hive is responsible for accelerating our existing and future products with novel algorithms that focus on machine learning. Our main goal is to constantly analyze our customers’ data, design and apply state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models that capture their behavior, and provide actionable recommendations.

The team of scientists and engineers are curious and self-driven to explore new algorithms and propose novel models that solve problems as no one has ever tried before. The team works closely with the business stakeholders and other engineering teams to achieve innovation at all levels, while providing scalable solutions that impact thousands of enterprises worldwide.

Working as an Artificial Intelligence Scientist

Hive Streaming fosters innovation in all of our products. Our newly formed Artificial Intelligence team is an engineering team that works closely with the Video Analytics product line. Our responsibility is to identify ways of excellence in our products through innovative and novel artificial intelligence algorithms in the area of recommendation systems, graph neural networks, reinforcement learning, and so on. Our main focus is not only on identifying our customers' patterns and behavior, but also to provide actionable insights and recommendations. In doing so, we enable our customers to achieve their short-term and long-term goals by improving their employee's engagement in their video communication platform.

As an Artificial Intelligence Scientist, you will work closely with the business stakeholders and other artificial intelligence scientists and engineers. Besides this, you will be working closely with your Team Lead Stefanos and belong to a team of four (which will grow in the upcoming years).

You will...

- Apply recent and state-of-the-art deep learning and reinforcement learning approaches in the company’s data
- Propose novel models that solve problems of existing state-of-the-art approaches
- Build prototypes and evaluate proposed models on the company’s data
- Read, understand and present scientific papers internally and externally
- Explain the business value of the state-of-the-art, as well as proposed models.

Previous Experience

We are looking for a passionate and curious candidate in the field of deep learning and/or reinforcement learning. We promote each employee to be self-driven and excited to provide innovation in the team. We also believe you have:

- A PhD or Master Degree in machine learning, computer science, physics, or mathematics
- Solid understanding of deep learning and/or reinforcement learning
- Good math skills including, linear algebra, probability theory, and numerical optimization
- Demonstrated contribution to machine learning or reinforcement learning, e.g. in the form of research publications, open-source projects
- Good experience of Pytorch/Tensorflow, Numpy, Pandas
- Fluent proficiency in English, both in speech and writing.
