Do you enjoy building analytics infrastructure? That’s one of the core projects we are working on here at Mynewsdesk. Right now, we are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Stockholm or Oslo!
What will you do?
Compelling stories are at the core of public relations work. At Mynewsdesk we are using AI & Natural Language Processing to empower PR professionals in their creation process. As a Data Engineer you will have a leading role in applying state-of-the-art data processing technology to develop Mynewsdesk’s media analytics and AI products. In the role, you will:
- Develop our analytics architecture, allowing for real-time NLP and AI driven insights of news texts
- Work closely with the Data Science team to develop an innovative product that creates real value for our users
- Build tooling to support Dev & Data Science cloud workflows, including deployments
- Manage and give input to the data engineering roadmap
- Work closely with the Chief Analytics & Strategy Officer in order to understand and design solutions with the greatest possible impact on the business
What is the team like?
You will join a team specialized in Data Engineering, AI and NLP, which consists of Data Scientists and other Data Engineers. The main goal of our team is to extract insights from texts and make these insights available to users of the Mynewsdesk product. We are a friendly and humble bunch who look forward to welcoming you!
We are looking for you
With an innovative mindset and an interest in AI/ML you will fit right into our team. When it comes to tech & tools, this applies to you:
- You are comfortable programming in Python. You may also have some knowledge of Java, Ruby or Spark
- You have experience working with Amazon Web Services, and may have worked with products such as EC2, EMR, Lambda, SNS, SQS, ECS or S3
- You have worked with infrastructure-as-code and with tools such as Cloudformation, Serverless or Terraform
- You have experience working with Elasticsearch
- You are used to working with tools such as: Docker, Docker Compose, Git, Jira
