What you would do as our Web Designer

As a Web Designer in the E-business team at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems you will work with a variety of different software e.g., Magento, Marketo, AEM and additional applications within the Adobe Suite. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, with a wide range of expertise.

To be successful in the role, we believe that strong communication skills are vital, both in the process of translating business requirements and technical constraints into great online user experience, but also when packaging and presenting solutions to different stakeholders.

The skills and experience you need

You need to have experience of design software such as: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and in particular wireframe tools such as: FIGMA, InVision and Adobe XD or similar. We need you to know your way around with CSS, HTLM and Javascript.

You are familiar with atomic design thinking and since almost everything we create needs to work across different devices, you also need to have a solid understanding of responsive design. We work with a customer first-approach in everything we do!

We believe that you have worked with Web design, UX, UI, and maybe in an area within the digital arena for about 2-4 years (internship placement, permanent positions etc.) and that you master the standard workflow process within your field. You are comfortable with translating technical design aspects into valuable use cases that support our business targets and needs.

From your understanding of both UX and UI you are used to translating it into relevant and attractive front-end design concepts. A task in your daily work could be, understanding and translating new requirements and functions into graphically appealing solutions that enhances customer experience.

Furthermore, we believe it is important that you are a genuine team player with very good listening skills to capture the essence of the task/project. Since English is our corporate language, we expect you to have a high professional knowledge and be able to speak, read and write freely.
