Information Technology Generalist

Nordic Empire is a global e-commerce company with several brands related to home products, lighting and smart product designs involving electronic sensors. We are based in Stockholm and work together in an office with an open and collaborative environment. We are currently a small startup company so each employee will share a variety of general responsibilities in addition to their more specialized roles.

Our customer base is primarily English-speaking and therefore our web content, customer support and other operations are conducted in English.

As the company expands and identifies new brand opportunities we plan to develop our own products.

The Information Technology Generalist will be responsible for:

- Developing and maintaining online stores

- Researching and selecting new products to sell

- Marketing products (writing product descriptions, developing the brand, etc)

- Placing and managing orders

- Customer support

- Prototyping and developing new electronic products

- Providing leadership in a technical capacity when required and training employees on new systems and features

The position will begin with part-time flexible hours and transition to full time as the company scales up.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Undergraduate degree or higher in computer science, engineering or a related field

- Fluency in English

- 1-2 years experience in a technical related field or equivalent

ASSETS:

- Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and C/C++

- Experience with photography and / or photo editing software for marketing products

- Experience with customer service and support

- Experience with electronic prototyping, microcontrollers and sensors

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Experience working in a start-up environment: multi-tasking, fast learning, highly adaptable
