Senior Data engineers- Google Cloud

Project Description

The project is called Finance and Risk 360 Data platform, which is a stratetgic digital transformation initiative. The aim is to migrate current flows and processes build in other platforms into google cloud platform (GCP). You will be a key player in our innovatiive and committed IT-delivery team. You will work with specialist and stakeholders to design and implement cloud solutions as a Data Engineer.

Work tasks

The customer are looking for an engineer who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to our stakeholders.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions in google cloud platform. The tasks would include:

- Build solutions both front-end and back-end in google cloud platform(data fusion experience is important).
- Promote public cloud internally to our delivery teams to drive growth.
- Share knowledge with team members with regards to Google Cloud and services used in the google cloud platform. Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the google cloud.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the google cloud solutions architect community.
- Build trust and relationships with senior technical individuals within the organization.
- Act as a technical expert between our stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Creating system requirements, system design artifacts and models, design documentation
- System documentation

Mandatory competence and experience:

- Full stack developer
- 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, with proven ability to build cloud solutions within the BI area.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent work experience
- Professional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred competence and experience:

- Relevant experience in development for cloud services.
Certified in either of the leading Cloud platforms including Google, AWS and Azure.
Hands on knowledge on any (1) programming language: Java or Python
Hands on knowledge of Big query, SQL and other relational Databases.
Familiar with agile way of working, SAFe and Scrum.
Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex and projects afficiently and effectively
- Big data concepts and technologies, such as: Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Solr, Cloudera, MapReduce, R, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, and the ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack
DevOps concepts and tools, such as: GitHub, JIRA, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Docker, ELK stack, Nexus, Nagios
Database platforms, such as: Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL, Mongo DB, HDFS
Application architecture and systems engineering principles, including n-tier/services-oriented architecture
Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: Google Cloud, AWS and Azure.
Proficiency in programming languages and related web technologies, such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, Perl, Ruby on Rails, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, Angular, React, or Vue.
