Creative Director

The NoA family is defined by its creative and fast-paced environment, where the status quo is constantly changing by default. Bold Scandinavia is our multidisciplinary design agency focusing on building strong brands by offering data-driven strategy and bold design. Our projects include everything from brand strategy to new visual identities and packaging design. We are 43 members at the Stockholm studio, usually working at our office at Tulegatan 13 in Stockholm, but in these unusual times, working re-mote, still with the same passion for creating BOLD design together as a team.

We are now looking for a Creative Director for our team.

As Creative Director at Bold, you are responsible for ensuring that Bold’s creative deliveries are of the highest conceptual, strategic and artisanal quality. The Creative Director is an inspirational force for the whole agency and a guiding star for Bold’s creative work.

Responsibilities

• You, together with HOC and CCO, will be responsible for Bolds's creative output.
• You will actively source inspiration, develop our processes and peers
• You will seek progressive ideas, enable creativity, and actively foster opportunities for the creative to share work in a meaningful way.
• You will support the recruitment of new design resources (in consultation with the CCO).
• You are expected to work proactively to streamline our internal structures and work processes.
• You will support and guide the creative teams in the right direction through inspiration, motivation, and advice.
• You are responsible to seek opportunities and sessions to guide and support the creative teams
• You are expected to be more actively involved in certain (strategically important) clients for the agency — both in terms of concept and design development.
• You should be a good leader and a role model for others in the agency. You must contribute with a positive attitude and contribute with courage and innovation in the creative work.
• You are expected to share knowledge and new insights about both brand strategy and design, and you are also encouraged to identify and implement initiatives that raise the creative level of the agency.
• You should be able to act as a mentor (when needed), and in consultation with
• the HOC and CCO develop and coach teams and individual creatives.
• You are expected to work in close collaboration with the CCO and management team to ensure that information is exchanged on an ongoing basis.
• You are expected to lead and structure client presentations and workshops
• You can be expected to represent Bold in pitch meetings, either as solo Creative Director or together with CCO/HOC.
• You will ensure that the work produced meets our quality standards as well as our client expectations
• You will be an ambassador for Bold, this could be in press, interviews, conferences, etc.

Qualifications

• 10+ years proven experience within branding and design
• Exceptional, multi-disciplinary portfolio of relevant branding work
• A university degree (or equivalent) in graphic design or a related field is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal English is a must
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Proven experience leading teams within an agency environment for large scale international clients
• Experience working with clients in diverse industries including finance, fashion, industry, and culture is a strong plus
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, provide feedback and manage performance
• Expertise in print, motion, digital and interactive design and their design principles
• Strong background in art direction, working closely with writers, photographers, illustrators, video producers, animators, and coders
• Practical understanding of 3D production with a proven ability to direct related projects
• Deep knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
