You will work with us – Team Tracking Information

We are currently working in Kanban, but will start working scrum within 2-week sprints.
We have daily stand-ups and retrospective every two weeks. In between, we have at least one MOB session a week and we encourage pair programming. To team build, we have digital coffee and games.

The team consists of a product owner and nine developers with competencies in e.g. microservice architecture, AWS, Java, Grafana, relational databases, NoSQL databases and REST api’s. We have a distributed team with members in the Philippines, Germany, Argentina and Sweden.

We use Jira for planning and backlog, Confluence for documentation and Bitbucket for code.

We work both in the office and elsewhere.

You will work on this

Develop and maintain multiple systems with a focus on managing tracking events. These are exposed both internally and externally, like in the PostNord app. Through these systems, approximately 15-20 million events pass every day and in the future these figures will be at least double.

Backend development usually takes place in AWS environment and is distributed as standard Java lambdas or as Spring Boot services orchestrated in Kubernetes.

We are currently working on redesigning an existing system that sends tracking information in near real time to both internal and external stakeholders. We are also redesigning another existing system that calculates a parcel’s journey in detail. Both tasks require good technical knowledge and a good understanding of the business domain.

You need to have experience and knowledge of this

- Java SE
- DevOps
- Back-end systems with micro service architecture.
- Highly transactional systems.
- Relational databases and NoSQL (such as DynamoDb).
- Message queues and streams.
- REST API's.
- Agile environment.
- Will to build knowledge within the domain to understand and refine business requirements.
- You need to have a good analytical ability and a coaching approach.
- English in speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience or knowledge of cloud computing, AWS in particular. Kubernetes, ElasticSearch and Kibana or Grafana.
