Software Developer

The Software Core team works in our shared services segment. That means we are helping all the other teams across Tobii, you will get to work on all our products and not just one. We enable value to be built incrementally and efficiently in the SW platform by providing the necessary expertise in SW architecture and infrastructure. Working in this team gives you the opportunity to learn the entire Tobii stack and architecture.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will work within a cross-functional team with the main focus on QA aspects. You will work on our PDK (platform development kit), the software that consists of all our eye tracking capabilities, the team is responsible for the architecture and future development of the PDK and our products.

Your days will be filled with:

• Maintain and add capabilities to existing test frameworks.
• Maintain and design continuous integration pipelines.
• Together with the team identify and implement the best practices and tools that could improve the quality of the product and reduce overheads for the project teams. These could be in the test framework or something related to the process (test design, reviews, test strategy, requirement mappings, etc.)
• Provide QA-related technical support (reviews/help solve complex problems/being a coach, etc.) to the project teams.

To succeed in this position, we believe that you have:

• At least 3+ years of experience with software development in a regulated field (e.g. MedTech, Aeronautical, etc.) and/or QA.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline.
• C++ programming skills
• Python programming skills
• (Preferred) Experience in test frameworks like Pytest, Catch 2 and Gtest
• (Preferred) Experience with C#
• (Preferred) Experience working with build tools like Bazel and Cmake.
• (Preferred) Experience in data driven development.
