You’re a leader in the evolving Digital Content Strategy discipline, with extensive experience in directing and operationalizing digital content strategy in an omnichannel setting.

You’re an advocate of human-centred content methods and approaches and feel comfortable teaching, socializing and managing cross-functional teams as they move toward human-centricity.

You are a people-leader with the experience to hire, lead and mentor content strategists as they enable and create amazing work in a complex setting.

You’re a true believer in the power of content, and you have spent much of your career inspiring, educating and guiding teams to adopt best practices in their work.

You have experience crafting and sharing an inspiring vision for how content is brought to life, from discovery to analyzing requirements to putting resources in place to drive efficient, effective work.

You have extensive knowledge of changing digital trends and you continually benchmark your team’s work against industry-leading, content-led brands, in order to validate and improve deliverables.

You have deep experience working in an agile, highly collaborative team of product, tech and data co-workers and know how to advocate for best practices throughout the content lifecycle.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As Content Strategy Manager, you’ll drive the content strategy to help billions of customers around the world create a better everyday life at home. You’ll lead and advocate for human-centered content practices, create an operational vision and drive the activation of a range of content strategies. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll share responsibility with the Content Strategy Principals to model healthy collaboration and grow the team’s profile and output.

Here’s a sampling of expectations for your role:

You’ll partner with other DXD Content Leaders to drive strategies and approaches to operationalize and elevate our team’s work and ensure content strategy is an integral part of the product and design process. Your wider network will include coworkers from the UX, Product, Engineering, Data and Business teams.

As a natural leader, you’ll provide direction and mentorship to assist in the team’s development. You’ll plan strategy-related work and eastablish a unified view of content strategy requirements and dependencies between strategists, and between the content team and other teams.

You’ll develop ways of working to ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and consistency across multiple experiences and products. From large initiatives to smaller, quick-turn projects, you’re willing to dive in and help your team get the job done.

In close collaboration with Experience Design Researchers and/or Product UX Designers, you’ll contribute to content initiatives, analyze requirements, plan resources, guide the development of efficient cross-functional processes, share responsibility for documentation and education around best practices, and help elevate the IKEA brand.

This role reports to the Head of Digital Experience Content; our team of content strategists and UX writers is based in both Malmö and Amsterdam. Our organization has co-workers in Amsterdam, Sweden, Madrid, Shanghai and Philadelphia.
