Google Cloud Architect

We’re looking for a Google Cloud Architect to join our world-class team and help our customers gain the maximum benefits of the cloud.

As a Google Cloud Architect, you’ll find yourself participating in customer projects, from new infrastructure builds and migrations, and big data. Day-to-day hands-on work can be from implementing CM infrastructure to taking a step back and giving workshops and design recommendations to a technical team. Furthermore, you will become a trusted advisor for high-profile enterprises and jointly manage the customer relationship and roadmap with the Nordcloud Sales team. All in all, you’ll have the position to follow customer projects from start to release.

Ideally, you’re bringing the following skills with you:

• Public cloud platform expert knowledge of Google Cloud (AWS and/ or Azure is a plus).
• A background as Linux OR Windows system administrator or backend developer.
• Coding/scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc).
• Hands-on experience in creating solution architectures.
• Designing and implementing landing zone architectures.
• Infrastructure as code, i.e. CDK, Terraform, Deployment Manager, and similar.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
• Container technologies experience (e.g. Docker).
• At least theoretical knowledge of container orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Swarm, or OpenShift).
• Willingness to experiment with and learn brand-new technologies (e.g. Anthos).
• Knowledge of on-premises technologies (e.g. VMware, OpenStack, or Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of security, network, virtualization, load balancer, storage, and database.
• It’s an extra asset if you know or are willing to know more about Big Data / Machine Learning types of projects.
• Active customer consultant and pre-sales attitude as a must.

All in all, you have a solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing, and architecting cloud solutions.

As you work directly with customers, social skills and a customer service attitude are a must.

As we have varying opportunities to work internationally, the requirement to travel is a minimum of 25% in Sweden and other locations in Europe.
