Senior Data Engineer/ Architect

Position Summary

BizOne AB is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/ Architect for our Stockholm office to help lead some of our cloud-based projects. You will provide leadership and expertise in modernizing and maintaining cloud-based data platforms. This position is hands on and provides technical leadership that will enhance the capabilities of the data environments used by our customers. This key position works closely with the business and the rest of the BizOne teams to deliver value from data.

Key responsibilities include:

Architect, design, build, and maintain solutions to meet our customer's business needs for their data platforms.

Provide technical direction to Data Engineers, BI developers, and application developers to architect, design, and implement solutions.

Stay current on the technology, tools, and approaches in the BI/DW/cloud space

Solve complex problems and develop proof of concepts to validate ideas or technologies

Work on multiple initiatives simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to mentor other developers in all aspects of their engineering skillsets

Building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production data analytical platform

Basic Qualifications:

Fluent in Swedish and English

Great presentation and communication skills

Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL pipelines automation with CI/CD, Data Quality Management and Operations

Demonstrated experience in SQL, NoSQL and data modelling skills

3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems

Have technical knowledge in Infrastructure automation, Data-Ops strategy, data engineering, system design and architecture

Well versed in DevOps and CI/CD deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in high performance computing like Spark/Cloudera/Hadoop/Hive

Consulting or client service delivery experience on Azure/ AWS/ GCP

Experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for big data, relational databases, NoSQL and data warehouse solutions

Hands-on experience implementing data migration and data processing using Azure services: Azure Data lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Synapse, Azure SQL DB, Databricks, Cosmo Db, etc.

Cloud migration methodologies and processes including tools like Azure Data Factory, Data Migration Service, SSIS, etc.

Experience in using Big Data File Formats (parquet/ delta table)

Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.

Nice-to-Have

Programming experience with Java/Scala/Python with strong base in object-oriented design and SOA
