The department of Infotainment, within the Connected Experience product stream, is responsible for the development and enabling of Volvo Cars' new Infotainment system powered by Android. Volvo Cars were the first company to team up with Google and develop a system together, which re-thinks the nature of car infotainment, defined by a user-friendly interface and unparalleled connectivity. Purpose
We are now looking for an experienced System Developer who is passionate about developing the next generation infotainment system based on Google’s Android automotive OS. 

What you'll do 
As a System Developer, you will be a member of an agile development team that has end-to-end responsibility including design, architecture, documentation, development, verification, and validation. You will collaborate with UX, Designers, Developers, and other stakeholders to define a coherent end-to-end solution. As part of the R&D organization, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to generating innovative ideas and solutions. Additionally, the position is located at our new office at Linholmen in Gothenburg.

Your passion to create the best solutions to make life easier for the customer is contagious. You have an open mindset with a focus to cooperate and find solutions that bring the highest value. You have a proactive attitude and utilize your strong technical knowledge to find solutions that are feasible within the scope of the projects.

Knowledge and experience
We believe that you carry a M.Sc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience through years of practice. You have several years’ experience in Automotive system development and are familiar with development tools such as SystemWeaver, Elektra or CANoe. We expect you to bring knowledge of distributed electrical systems and electrical architecture along with knowledge of Automotive communication buses. As well as you are fluent in English and have a valid European driver’s license B. 

Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have experience in software development (Java, C++, Python) or work experience in verification and test automation. A good understanding of development processes and agile methodologies is also meritorious.
