As our quest to democratise financial services continues at blazing speed, our Payments Core Area is now looking for an Backend Developer with a great deal of experience and a truly Agile mindset to join our journey.

In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team and get the opportunity to co-tackle a wide variety of challenges together with a group of talented people driven by a shared ambition to create hassle-free solutions for our sellers.

A glimpse of what you will get here

Part of our Money Alliance, our Payments Core Area is the heart of the Zettle ecosystem. On a day-to-day basis, our Teams handle all transactions and negotiations with acquirers and processors. Simply stated, our mission consists in making sure that customers get charged and merchants get paid. Easy, right?

The skills to succeed

• Java programming with modern frameworks as Dropwizard or Spring Boot.
• Expertise in building distributed and highly scalable systems.
• Working experience with continuously delivered systems.
• SQL databases as PostgreSQL.
• Cloud development with Docker, preferably in AWS.
• Pair/Mob programming.

The traits to exceed

• Great passion for working close with product and design and solving complex problems in small, agile, and cross functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with a lot of different colleagues within the business functions as well as with other engineers.
• You gladly share your knowledge, experience, and opinions while understanding and respecting that the last word comes from the team.
• You are known for your strong desire to learn and your endless appetite for exploring new things.

Earn extra points if you have worked with:

• Microservice architecture.
• Automated testing.
• AWS (ECS, RDS, SNS, SQS, S3).
• Experience in FinTech or/and Financial services.
