We are a team consisting of Data Analysts, Data Engineers and Data Scientists working with both in-house projects/products and also assignments at our customer’s site. Our customers are public sector and medium to large size companies in the Nordic region within Energy, Industrial and Process sectors with digital transformation and sustainability at the top of their agenda.

Due to an increased demand from our customer base we need to strengthen our team with more Data Scientists. We are looking for people with a solid background in Data Science and Analytics.

Job Description

You will be responsible for AI model impletation working with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Analysts and Project Managers. The most common cases of AI is time series analysis with predictive models as well as computer vision. It is also important to have an understanding of data processing in cloud as well as in on-prem platforms.

Your assignments will be both individually and as a member of an AFRY team collaborating with experts in various domains to translate business problems into technical requirements and building solutions.

Qualifications

You have at least 5 years of relevant experience, holding a Master or PhD degree in Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Mathematics, Quantitative Modelling, Computer Science or equivalent fields.

Your core competences are in the following areas:

• Advanced model and algorithm programming skills in at least two of the following languages: Python, Java, C#, R, MATLAB or Scala
• Understanding of cloud data processing and storage concepts and decent database knowledge
• Good understanding of appropriate statistical tools to be applied in different use cases.
• Proper data mining skills including: feature engineering, time series analysis and predictive models, statistical signal/image processing, Machine Learning algorithms
• Strong Visualization, presentation and communication skills
• You speak and write fluent English, since it is required in contact with colleagues and customers

The hiring is for our AI and Analytics Team with Henrik Mårtensson as Team Lead, who has 20+ years of experience within the field. Other than your closest colleagues in the team you will be able to build a network internally with other parts of AFRY working within analytics.
