ABOUT THE POSITION

Working as a DevOps DBA within Hosting & Integrations open-source team, you will develop the delivery of databases on premise. You and your team will meet the increasing need of automated solutions which are easy to consume. The area is highly prioritized within SEB and we are moving towards the use of containers, Kubernetes, and Operators to keep our environment modern. You will work close to other teams to build and adapt the database platform according to the ever-shifting environment in one of Sweden´s most modern banks. You can expect a varied workday which involves all parts of development, from requirements and security to maintenance and customer dialogue.

Your team
Hosting & Integration is made up of several teams with competent colleagues improving SEBs databases. You will join the open-source team and work close with other platform- and database teams. The team is characterized by its good atmosphere, open mindedness, and its willingness to share knowledge. We hope that you, like all of us, feel pride to build services that are robust, secure, and always available for the bank and its customers.

We work in a modern office in Solna, next to Mall of Scandinavia. When we are not working remote, you can enjoy restaurants, a modern gym where you can participate in group training sessions every week. We have a hybrid working model, working both from home and at the office.

YOUR PROFILE

You will thrive if you enjoy working in a team and see the value of working agile, where knowledge sharing is a success factor. You are goal oriented, driven, and find pleasure in the opportunity to explore new and creative solutions.

We believe that you have experience from development positions or database or Linux administration where you have worked with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. The most important part is that you are driven by the need to develop and build services for databases. You are comfortable in a Linux environment and it is advantageous if you have experience writing automations in Ansible or similar tools as well as scripting in Python or other script languages. It is also meritorious with knowledge or interest of containers, Kubernetes, or Operators with an interest in understanding how services can and should be automated in a self-service environment.
