What you will do

We could write several bullet points sweepingly outlining what we expect you to do. But every individual is unique, and we frankly don’t believe that’s a modern way to work. Instead, during your interview, the position will be defined according to your skill set, interests, and what motivates you. When these three factors are met, magic can truly take place.

Our Stack

We use the best tool for the job, whatever technology or method that provides the most leverage. Currently, we:

- Use AWS as our cloud vendor

- Build backends in Node.js

- Utilize both relationship and object databases

- Use both REST and GraphQL

- Believe in clean data objects and typed data

- Use JSON and schemas for everything we do and have been building tooling around this

To be successful as a lead developer, we believe you have:

- 5+ years experience doing professional software development, preferably within a product organization

- Experience with DevOps

- Experience leading software development teams/organizations with responsibility for application development, security, architecture, and infrastructure operations

- Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure

- Experience working with REST, GraphQL, and JSON-schemas

- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, and a natural ability to empower the team to become better at what they do

- Experience in the overall architecture of software applications for products and solution

- Designing and integrating software applications running on multiple platform types into the overall architecture

- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. In the end, you're one of the smartest people you know.
